Melbourne Australian Open Weather Forecast: Temperature for Round 1 Action

As we continue our coverage of the 2013 Australian Open, we look at the expected temperature for today's matches as some begin at 11 a.m. EDT/7 p.m. ET.

Going straight to the current conditions, the skies appear mostly clear with the temperature hovering in the low to mid-50's.

By game time, you can expect sunny skies with no clouds and temperatures will quickly rise to the upper 70's. Today's high is 84 degrees.

Fans, take your sunblock because the UV Rays are extremely high. However, if there is any good news it's that the humidity will be farely low hanging around the 40 percent mark.

These weather conditions are relevant to those watching Andy Murray, Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and for any other players expected to be playing in the morning and afternoon at the Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena.

For those going for the evening sessions, at 7 p.m. you still don't have to worry about umbrellas because skies will remain clear and there will be a good breeze blowing at around 10 miles per hour. Also, you don't have to apply too much sunblock.

Homegrown talent, Australian Bernard Tomic will be in action in the evening session and he will face off against Argentina's Leonardo Mayer in the main court, Rod Laver Arena.

By the conclusion of today's matches, expect temperatures to drop into the upper 60's.
