NFL AFC Championship Game Weather Forecast: New England Will Be Breezy

Lucky for those going to the NFC Championship, their game is in a dome. The AFC Championship game will be played outside in Foxborough Stadium located in Massachusetts and the forecast has a lot of wind involved in this weather report.

The weather is beautiful for a mid-January day. At noon, it was 54 degrees Fahrenheit with clear skies. The wind will be a problem. It will be blowing at 23 miles per hour with gusts reaching 38 mph.

Will this be a problem for the passing game? Tom Brady and Joe Flacco have pretty good arms, so don't expect the weather conditions to affect them too much. If that's a problem, both teams have decent running games that could carry their offense. The Baltimore Ravens might be in trouble if their passing game doesn't show up as the New England Patriots have one of the best running defenses in the league.

The Patriots are at home and they know a thing or two about playing in tough weather conditions. Remember the Oakland Raiders game that was played under feet of snow? The Patriots found a way to win that one and it was in Brady's earlier years.

What will the thermometer read by game time? Well, the change might be a bit dramatic as the temperature is expected to drop about 20 degrees.

By 6 p.m. ET, about 30 minutes before the game, the temperature will be in the mid-30's, because of the wind chill however, it will feel about 10 degrees colder. Then wind will take a small dip and blow at around 15 mph.

So bundle up for the game. If you don't, however, it will no be a problem. The drama these two teams have built over the past season will certainly heat up the field and anybody in the stadium.
