Beyonce Knowles is one of the world's most talented performers and singers, but even she can get tired of singing live sometimes.

Following her amazing performance at the Presidential Inauguration on Monday, the former Destiny's Child singer was accused by some in the U.S. Marine Corps Band of using a backing vocal for the song.

"We all know Beyonce can sing," Master Sgt. of the U.S. Marine Band Kristin duBois told ABC News. "We all know the Marine Corps Band can play. We do not know why she decided to go with the pre-recorded music at the last minute."

On Tuesday, a U.S. Marine Band spokeswoman later came out and said they are not "in a position to assess."

Some in the media have speculated that Knowles used the backing vocals to help with the cold weather, although both James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson sung live. Clarkson could be seen signaling to Beyonce after the national anthem performance and appeared to mouth the words, "It's so hard."

"It's always hard for a guitar player to play when it's cold because your hands sort of stiffen up and you know nerves tend to do that to you anyway. So I was, you know, very relieved to have gotten to it without any major train wrecks," Taylor told George Stephanopoulos and Diane Sawyer.

Aretha Franklin came out and defended Beyonce to ABC News, saying:

"I thought it was funny because the weather down there was about 46 or 44 degrees and for most singers that is just not good singing weather."

Franklin sang at the inauguration in 2009 and said it was live.

I wanted to give people the real thing and pre-recording never crossed my mind," Franklin said.

The backlash against Beyonce may take some headlines away from her Super Bowl halftime show performance, but it is likely that there will any issues. People will keep an eye on her during the show to see if she is lip-synching, but that doesn't mean the recording of her voice isn't authentic anyway.

"Beyonce has been a public relations golden girl for all her career," publicist-to-the-stars Michael Levine told ABC News. "This controversy won't do anything to her image."

Beyonce is currently in New Orleans rehearsing for the show.
