Ahmad Bradshaw Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Possible Destination? (Commentary)

Ahmad Bradshaw is on the loose and the Dallas Cowboys need a running game badly. DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones just didn't get the job done and Tony Romo can only take the team so far. Is it possible the Cowboys are interested in signing Bradshaw?

It might seem like I'm hyping the Cowboys and New York Giants' rivalry a little too much as it also occurred to me that Dallas could be once again interested in having Chris Canty, a former Giant, back on their roster.

Bradshaw is a good option for the Cowboys because he plays hard, plays through injuries and can bring fire and leadership to this team that always seems to need a spark at the end of the season.

The Cowboys had the second worst running game in the NFL in 2012 averaging just 79 rushing yards per game. Only the Arizona Cardinals had a poorer running game and they were a disaster last season.

Murray and Jones weren't dependable all season long and suffered injuries. Bradshaw was injured as he suffered from foot problems all year long, but he made the best out of it rushing for just over 1,000 yards for the second time in his career.

Romo is a good quarterback, people seem to forget that. It's just that he can't put it together at the conclusion of the season. For the second consecutive year, the Cowboys missed the playoffs after being a game away from clinching the division.

Romo stinks in the crunch, but during the regular season he put up great numbers. He had over 400 complete passes, threw for 4,903 yards and 28 touchdowns. Romo could work on his aim after throwing 19 interceptions, but what other options do the Cowboys have if running is ineffective?

It's obvious, Romo doesn't need better receivers, he could use some help with a decent back. If he wants extra hands, Bradshaw also finished the year with 245 receiving yards off 23 catches.

Bradshaw is a two-time champion that can help any team get better. The Cowboys are decent, adding Bradshaw to their offense will help balance the defense and of course, spark a little more interests in matchups against their bitter rival Giants.
