Harvin Trade Rumors: Vikings To Deal Percy Harvin Due To Altercation With Coach, Miami Dolphins or Baltimore Ravens Top NFL Landing Spot?

Percy Harvin is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL, but he is also one of the most frustrating when it comes to attitude, which is why the Vikings are reportedly interested in trading the wide receiver.

According to WCCO Radio and CBS4, the Minnesota Vikings are looking to trade Harvin with WCCO's Mike Max saying that sources told him the move was motivated by an incident the receiver had with coach Leslie Frazier during the season.

The report says that Harvin has a tirade that was disrespectful towards the coach while he was out of action with an injury and that after the blow up, he was placed on injured reserve. Teammates did not like what he did and the Vikings grew sick of his attitude after that. Harvin has had past issues with former coach Brad Childress and now the Vikings appear to be finished with the talented receiver and return man.

Harvin has been the most explosive player for the Vikings apart from running back Adrian Peterson, who had over 2,000 rushing yards and won the MVP award this season. Harvin was a first round pick by the team in 2009, but was sidelined this year after suffering a serious ankle injury.

The past year has been a tumultuous one for Harvin with the team. He publicly expressed his unhappiness with the team, had multiple altercations with his coach, suffered an injury and rehabbed part of the time on his own and also requested a trade at one point.

Harvin was placed on injured reserve amid all the controversy wit his tirade, but it did not disrupt the Vikings, who finished the year 10-6 and made the playoffs on the final day of the year. The team finished on a four game winning steak before losing 24-10 to the Packers in the playoffs.

Harvin isn't officially out of Minnesota year, but Vikings general manager Rick Spielman's appearance Friday on KFAN-100.3 could be telling on how the future will go for the receiver.

"I'm not going to say what's going to happen this offseason," Spielman said, "because he is going in to the last year of his contract. But right now, where we're at, Percy Harvin is a member of this football team and he is a very good football player. We don't like to get rid of good football players."

Harvin is a small guy at 5', 1", 184 lbs., but he is dangerous in the return game, bringing back multiple touchdowns over his career, and he has been a valuable target as a slot receiver. The Dolphins could be a perfect lading spot for him for draft picks, considering Dolphins coach Joe Philbin saw a lot of him while working with the Green Bay Packers.

Spielman said: "We love Percy Harvin as a football player. Everybody sees what he does for our football team."

Miami also traded away Brandon Marshall last year and will need to replace leading receiver Brian Hartline. Harvin is enterting the final year of his contract with the Vikings, catching 62 balls last season for 677 yards and three touchdowns. In his final game in Week 9 he had two receptions for 10 yards in a 20-13 loss to Seattle.
