Kobe Bryant is new to Twitter, but he is making his presence felt on the social media site. Bryant scolded at a fan after his use of the word 'gay' in offensive form.
Minutes after Bryant pointed this out to the fan, the tweet was deleted. This means Bryant ultimately got his point across as the fan hid this tweet from the rest of the world.
The last thing you would want is to be exposed to over 1.2 million people who support Bryant on Twitter. That's a Twitter beef anybody is bound to lose, except maybe Kim Kardashian and Beyonce.
Here's Bryant's tweet to the disruptive fan.
Bryant must have learned something from Jared Dudley and Grant Hill's commercial in reference to the use of the word 'gay' when attempting to offend someone. It was a part of the Think B4 You Speak ad campaign and Bryant just put that to work. He even used the hashtag #notcool to make it a trending topic as Hill and Dudley mention that in the commercial.
Here it is.
Bryant could have been remembering this commercial or he quickly remembered how rough the league was on him after calling a referee a "f---ing faggot" in 2011. It cost Bryant $10,000, which is pocket change for Bryant, but still, the league made an example of the world class superstar.
Bryant even saw this incident come back to the light as a fan then tweeted to the Lakers guard that he had used an offensive word himself. To that, No. 24 responded "That wasn't cool, and was ignorant on my part. I own it and learn from it and expect the same from others."
Bryant is simply becoming an advocate for change as he hopes young people could get the word out of their everyday speech.
