The F.A. Cup is always a great occasion for players and fans around the world and Arsenal will look to provide a little joy to the Gooners when they take on Blackburn rovers in the fifth round of the F.A. Cup.

The Emirates game should go Arsenal's way on paper, but as Bradford showed in the League Cup, nothing can be taken for granted, with Blackburn slowly but surely finding their form in the Championship.

"It's less difficult (to stay focused) if you play a cup game than if you play a championship game," Wenger said.

"If you play a cup game you know if you win you are through. But if you play a championship game it's just the usual thing and you could already have your mind on Tuesday night. I don't think in a cup game it pays a big part in it.

"The players are focused on Blackburn completely. They know as well there is an opportunity there -- if we go through we are in the quarterfinals and they don't want to miss that."

Wenger reserved special praise for Blackburn's top striker Jordan Rhodes, who has been in great from since making his move from Huddersfield.

"He has scored 20 goals in 25 games, so he must have something special and a big intelligence in the box -- a big level of anticipation and is a skilful finisher," Wenger added.

"You don't see him too much outside the box in participation but when you look at his record it is quite impressive. Let's not forget that English football forgot people like (Southampton striker Rickie) Lambert for example.

"You wonder today what career this boy would have made if he had gone to a big club at 18 or 19. Maybe the fact that we had the money to only buy foreign we forget a few people who could make it.

"We know that he was a good goalscorer at Huddersfield. When a guy scores goals lower down you always have a question mark about whether he'd be capable of playing for Arsenal Football Club. But you have to give him time to adapt to the level and this season he has shown in the Championship that he can go higher."

Arsenal will be without Jack Wilshere, who Arsene Wenger does not want to risk, while Laurent Koscielny faces a late fitness test. Carl Jenkinson is suspended, but Thomas Vermaelen returns from an ankle injury, while Gervinho is available after his exertions with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
