The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middelton, has showed off her growing baby-bump for the first time Tuesday at London Hope House, making this her second official appearance since announcing her pregnancy in December of 2012.
The Duchess of Cambridge, whose royal baby with husband Prince William is due in July, wore a gray Max Mara wrap dress which ever so slightly gave a glimpse of her bump.
The Duchess and her husband just returned home from holiday in the Caribbean Isle of Mustique where their privacy was breached when photographers snapped pictures of her in a bikini, selling them to foreign magazines.
As for more recent controversy surrounding the royals, best-selling British author Hilary Mantel has stired up outrage regarding the Duchess by calling her a "plastic princess with no personality" during at London review of Books lecture on Feb. 4
Nick Barton, chief executive of Action on Addiction, defended Middleton during her visit. "I've met her several times and I found her to be engaging. I found her very natural," he told the British press. "I found her actually genuinely interested in the subject."
Barton added, "You can tell a lot from people's questions and she asks really good questions. They're not routine stuff, they're questions of someone who wants to learn. I find her very easy to deal with."
