The North London derby build up has already begun with Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla and Tottenham forward Gareth Bale cranking up the pressure by extolling the importance of a win.
Arsenal face Spurs at White Hart Lane, four points behind their biggest rivals and with a Champions League spot up for grabs.
Cazorla, who scored for Arsenal in their 5-2 win at the Emirates earlier this season, knows the importance of the derby, and believes the current situation in the table makes the game even more vital.
"It's very important, not just because it is a great rivalry or that it's Tottenham versus Arsenal, but the fact that they're a side with great players who are fighting with us for a top-four spot," he told the club's official website.
"To beat them and get into the top four and the Champions League, which is our aim for the season, is essential. We know how important it is and I hope we can rise to the challenge.
"Like everyone else, I'm really looking forward to the match against Tottenham and I hope we can achieve our goal of fighting for a Champions League spot. It's going to be a really difficult game but a great match to watch."
Arsenal's biggest threat in the derby will come from the in-form Gareth Bale, who has single-handedly fired Tottenham into third with his brilliant performances.
Bale is desperate to set things right against Arsenal in the game on Sunday, after suffering that 5-2 defeat, a game in which he scored a brilliant individual goal.
"It's one we want to win," he said.
"We started well last time and the sending-off was a problem.
"We want to rectify that score now and hopefully get the three points.
"We go into the game full of confidence, looking for three points to boost our hopes of getting into the Champions League.
"It's massive. We know how big it is -- not just for us but for the fans."
