Darrelle Revis has read the news. He has heard the trade talks. He knows the New York Jets could possibly be attempting to pawn him off to another team. He has heard it and he is ok with it. Revis stopped by the "The Real Rob Report" and addressed the rumors and reports that the San Francisco 49ers are interested in trading for him. Revis believes it would be "awesome" to join the team.

Revis noted that the San Francisco 49ers are a Super Bowl contending team. He would be a strong fit for the team who's secondary struggled in the Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens were able to take advantage of the weakness and put the 49ers in a point deficit. Revis is viewed as one of the last missing pieces to the team that could be at the top of the league for the next couple of years.

"My main goal as a player, and I think all of us as players in the NFL, is to hold that Lombardi Trophy up in the air and wear that ring, They are definitely a contender and they will be a contender for the next couple of year," Revis said.

The 49ers were rumored to be out of the Revis trade after not having enough to offer the Jets in return, but anything can happen once free agency begins. Revis is currently rehabbing a repaired torn ACL, but is expected to be ready by training camp.

He addressed the rumors that have been flying around him, noting that it did hurt when reports came out about a possible trade. Rex Ryan has since spoken publicily and claimed there was no truth to the Revis trade rumors, backing off from his original statements that any player could be traded at any time.

"Yeah, this hit home. This definitely hit home, especially being one of the best players out there. Come to find out you getting shopped, yeah, it really hits home," Revis said.

Everything between Revis and the Jets is about money. Revis wants to get paid and the Jets seem unwilling to give him big bucks without first seeing how healthy he returns after ACL surgery. The team was rumored to be shopping him during the NFL combine, but nothing came to fruition after the Jets were unhappy with his trade value.
