Tim Tebow NFL Trade Rumors: Why Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns Are Best Fits For Quarterback Over Obvious Jacksonville Jaguars Deal

Tim Tebow has been one of the most talked about quarterbacks in the NFL this offseason after the New York Jets made it clear that they were planning to trade him and shop him around the league during the NFL combine to gauge his trade value.

While the Jets have yet to find any takers for Tebow around the NFL, there are many places where he could be a perfect fit and a valuable asset on offense, something his current team has no idea about. The Jets grossly underused Tebow this past season and got barely anything better at quarterback with Mark Sanchez, who was benched eventually in favor of Greg McElroy since he couldn't throw the ball to the right jerseys.

Tebow was barely used, but when he was on the field he was effective. He rushed for over 100 yards and completed six of eight passes and performed admirably when asked to play on special teams as a punt protector. While his skills at quarterback are lacking, that does not mean there isn't a place in the NFL for him and there are number of teams where he could be a perfect fit, including in Chicago with the Bears as well as with the Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns.

The Cardinals are one of the top options for Tebow, as the team got literally nothing out of the quarterback position last year between three guys in Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Ryan Lindley. Franchise wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had one of his worst professional seasons due to the poor play of the team and he would welcome a change at quarterback if it meant more production and winning.

Tebow had a good relationship with wideout Demariyus Thomas and Erick Decker in Denver and he could easily form one with a player like Fitzgerald. The team has a high draft pick and there's a chance new head coach Bruce Arians will not want to use a pick on a quarterback as the class is much weaker than last years that saw Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin and Russell Wilson.

Arians is an offensive-minded guy and after playing with a guy like Luck that can move around, Tebow could be a solid fit with the Cardinals. The team went just 4-12 last season and lost 11 of 12 games during one stretch, so taking a risk would not necessarily be a bad thing for the franchise.

The Cleveland Browns are also under a new regime, as head coach Rob Chudzinski was brought in from the Panthers for new owner Jimmy Haslam and player personnel man Mike Lombardi. The Browns have not been successful in over a decade and since this group of executives did not draft rookie Brandon Weeden, there is a chance they will want to move on from him after going 5-11 in 2012.

Weeden was solid but he threw more interceptions that touchdowns and also led the league among rookies with balls batted down at the line of scrimmage, meaning he may need to go through his reads better. Tebow might be a step down quarterback wise from Weeden, but there is a chance he could bring his winning touch to the Browns like he did when he was starting with Denver.

When Tebow had the chance to start and the team was built around him things were fantastic, as he led the Broncos the playoffs and an improbable victory against the Steelers in overtime after a touchdown pass to Thomas. A new start for Tebow and the Browns could end up being a perfect match.

The Bears also factor in, as Jay Cutler needs a backup and new head coach Marc Trestman may actually know how to use Tebow in the offense. He worked with Tebow before he was drafted and he spent many successful years in the CFL, where things are more expanded on offense. Trestman could use Tebow as a perfect decoy as well as on special plays, like the Jets had planned to do.

A deal is still in the future, but these teams could provide the perfect landing spot for Tebow.
