LeBron James And Savannah Brinson Finally Set Wedding Date

Miami Heat's LeBron James and longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson, the mother of his two children, have finally set a wedding date to take place this fall in San Diego, California.

The couple have asked friends and family to save the weekend of Sept. 13-15 for their wedding ceremony.

According to TMZ.com, which obtained a copy of the preliminary invitation, pointed out that that weekend might be not be the best one for the couple's Jewish friends - as Sept. 13 is the beginning of Yom Kippur.

James, 28, a three-time NBA MVP, won his first championship last year with the Miami Heat. He and Brinson were high-school sweethearts in Ohio. They got engaged on New Year's Eve at the end of 2011.

They have two sons, LeBron Jr., 8, and Bryce, 5.

"When it happens, it happens," Brinson told Harper's Bazaar on the subject of marriage in 2010. "If we do it, I want it to be forever."

The timing of the wedding announcement might not be coincidental; there were recent rumors that the two were having relationship problems. The rumors stemmed from Brinson's absence at NBA All-Star Weekend and the Miami Heat's January visit to the White House. Maybe things aren't that bad if the two are proceeding with their wedding.
