After pulling off an impressive 2-1 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund at the weekend, Schalke will look to progress into the quarterfinals of the Champions League with a victory over Galatasaray.

The German club hold the slight upperhand having scored a vital away goal in a 1-1 draw in Turkey in the first leg, and Schalke manager Jens Keller now wants to take his side's good recent form into the second leg in Gelsenkirchen.

"We have produced some great performances recently and must carry that into the match tomorrow (Tuesday)," he said. "We want to keep experiencing the euphoria of winning as well as the support of our fans.

"We not only played well against Dortmund. We have been in good form over the past five matches. However, we are not getting carried away. We got a decent result in Istanbul, but we did not win by three or four goals. We have worked long and hard to build the confidence we have now.

"Galatasaray are a very good side, even if they lost in the league at the weekend. The Champions League is an entirely different competition. I'm sure they will put in a very good performance."

Schalke, however, were dealt a huge blow after Klaas-Jan Huntelaar picked up a knee injury, which could sideline him for the rest of the season. "Losing Huntelaar will make life difficult for us, but we have been in this situation before," Keller added. "Feeling sorry for ourselves will do us no good."

Along with Huntelaar, Schalke will also be without Ibrahim Afellay, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Lars Unnerstall, Ciprian Marica and Christoph Moritz, while first leg goalscorer Jermaine Jones is suspended.

Galatasaray do not have too many problems on the injury front with only Johan Elmander ruled out. "Schalke have improved enormously since our first meeting, getting better week after week," Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim said. "They have an advantage with the away goal.

"I have great faith in my players. They have prepared very well for the game and are full of confidence. We want to win tomorrow and we are ready to give everything it takes to do so."
