It's time to go crazy. The NCAA Championship Week kicks off almost a week before the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The SEC features talented schools and champions as the usual players are ranked at the top and awaiting for their competitors. First things first, the four teams which will be idle for these next couple of days are No. 1 Florida, No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Ole Miss and No. 4 Alabama (roll tide).
Starting off the action in Alabama's side of the bracket will be S. Carolina (12) vs. Mississippi St. (13) at 7:30 p.m. ET. Ole Miss' side of the bracket will feature Texas A&M (11) vs. Auburn (14) on Wednesday, Mar. 13 at 10 p.m. ET. The winner of this game faces No. 6 Missouri, while the winner of S. Car or MSST takes on No. 5 Tennessee.
In action on Wednesday, Mar. 14 will be Georgia University (8) vs. LSU (9) with tipoff at 1 p.m. ET. The winner will immediately face the Gators. Also taking the floor on Wednesday will be Arkansas (7) vs. Vanderbilt (10) this game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET. The winner of this one will have the honors of facing the Kentucky Wildcats.
Last season, in 2012, Vanderbilt defeated the eventual 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball champs, Kentucky. They surprised the world as Vanderbilt went on to defeat the Wildcats 71-64 to claim the 2012 SEC title. They come into this tournament as the defending champs and will look to start off strong against Arkansas on Wednesday.
