How the Got Here: Syracuse and Louisville had different routes to the championship game.

Syracuse, who was ranked No. 5 in the tournament, played three games and defeated No. 12 Seton Hall 75-63, No. 4 Pittsburgh 62-59 and upset the No. 1 ranked Georgetown 58-55.

No. 2 Louisville, had a bit of an easier route with games that were less dramatic. They played two games and defeated No. 7 Villanova. 74-55 while recently defeating No. 6 Notre Dame 69-57. The Fighting Irish just couldn't get enough luck.

Louisville and Syracuse met twice during the regular season and they split these two games. Syracuse walked out victorious in a close 70-68 victory while the Cardinals took their second meeting in a low scoring 58-53 affair.

Looks like we should be in for a treat as Louisville tries to repeat as Big East champion.
