The Indiana Hoosiers are in prime position to get a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament and with a win over Wisconsin on Saturday at the United Center the team would likely clinch that spot with a berth in the conference finals.

The Hoosiers are ranked third in the nation and their next test will be against No. 22 Wisconsin, who was able to knock off the Wolverines in the tournament and team that has been able to defeat the Hoosiers over the past six seasons. The team has a 27-5 record and looked solid in an 80-64 victory on Friday against Illinois in the quarterfinals.

The win and then another in the finals could give the Hoosiers a Big Ten tournament championship for the first time ever, along with their first ever outright regular-season title. Head coach Tom Crean thinks his team deferves a number one seed and to do that they will need to take down Wisconsin on Saturday.

"I would think -- I would hope -- we've done enough," Crean said Friday. "I think when you have the league the way that it is and you win it outright the way that we did."

The Hoosiers have lost to Wisconsin at home already this season and struggled shooting after losing 64-59, making less than 40 percent of their shots from the field. Indiana has lost 11 games in a row against Wisconsin since 2007 and could use a change in that trend on Saturday. The Hoosiers also lost to the Badgers last year in the Big Ten quarters, but this year it's in the semifinals.

Indiana will rely heavily on Cody Zeller, who missed only two shots and scored 24 points with nine rebounds. He was solid against the Badgers the first time around after scoring 23 points and snagging 10 rebounds and has been averaging over 20 points this month.

"Even if I don't score it, it opens up a lot of things for our shooters on the outside," Zeller said.

Wisconsin has been solid on defense has held opponents to 60 points or fewer in the last eight games. If Wisconsin wins, it would be the seventh time the team has won a game against a ranked opponent and could knock Indiana out of a number one seed. The Hoosiers are ranked second in the nation in scoring with 80 points per game and is 18th in rebounding.

The Hoosiers are sixth in the nation in field goal shooting with nearly 50 percent and are 58th in assists with nearly 15 per game. The team has won two straight since losing to Ohio State and the team is looking like a number one seed for the NCAA tournament.

Wisconsin is a tough defensive team and ranked 207th in scoring with 66 points per game and 221st in field goal percentage. The team ranked 69th in rebounding with nearly 40 per game and are 126th in assists. After losing two straight to Purdue and Michigan State the team has won two games in a row, including the 68-59 victory over Michigan.
