The Sweet 16 was completed as schools finished their games on Sunday and complete the third round at the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Check out the scores of these games as the tournament is now about to kick off its Sweet 16.
The first final score on Sunday concluded with a little bit of drama as Ohio State defeated Iowa State 78-75 avoiding an upset, but doing it so on a controversial call. Aaron Craft sunk a three as time was winding down. He had come fresh off taking a charge that looked more like an defensive foul as his heel hovered over the restricted area in the paint.
Following this dramatic game, Indiana also avoided an upset at the hands of Temple as they scored the final 10 points of the game finishing the game by the score of 58-52. Kahlif Wyatt stole the show score 31 of his teams 52 points for Temple, but in the end, Victor Oladipo rose to the occasion hitting big shots in the closing moments of the game.
Kansas then avoided any drama trumping North Carolina 70-58 the Florida Gators beat Minnesota 78-64. The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles also put away their opponent, San Diego St. 81-71. Adding another memory to their Cinderella run. The combination of Sherwood Brown and Bernard Thompson along with Brett Comer's 14 assists were too much for their opponent.
La Salle vs. Ole Miss finished in a close 76-74 score, while Miami vs. Illinois ended in another close 63-59 finale.
Concluding the Sunday matchups and third round action, Duke beat Crieghton 66-50 and Coach Mike Krzyzewski continues his domination in NCAA Men's Basketball.
