Chelsea will look to put behind their disappointing defeat to Southampton in the English Premier League when they host Manchester United in the F.A. Cup quarterfinal replay.
Less than 48 hours have passed since both sides took the field for their respective league engagements and keeping that in mind both sides are expected to field much-changed starting XIs on Monday.
The fixture headache was created following a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, a game in which Chelsea came back from two goals down to force the replay.
"Monday is a big game against a very good side but we showed in Old Trafford we could do it, and we will try to," Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez said.
"United are top of the table and we were better than them in the first game. We can compete. When you play two games in three days it is not easy, and we are doing well for the situation we have.
"United have a very strong squad. Analyse the four strikers they have, we have two. It was a problem when we had just Fernando Torres but with Demba Ba we have two options.
"We have offensive players with enough quality to create, but in some positions to find the balance is not easy. To play two games a week for four months is not easy to keep the team at the same level the whole time.
"We have played some nice football, scored a lot of goals, but still, we have to be more consistent."
Sir Alex Ferguson is desperate for United to clinch their first F.A. Cup title since 2004 and believes his side will come out stronger against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
"In the last few years, we've had some very difficult draws in the FA Cup," he said. "Chelsea have enjoyed a great benefit of home draws and I don't think they have had one hard game in the run-up to the semi-finals over the years.
"That helps, no doubt about that. But they have us to play at Stamford Bridge and we won't be easy for them."
