Tim Tebow Rumors: Matt Flynn Trade Hurts Options As Arizona Cardinals and Buffalo Bills Targets, Sun Devil Army Reserve Invites QB To Military Ball

Tim Tebow is one of the most popular athletes in the NFL despite not getting very much playing time, which is one reason why he was invited by the Sun Devil Battalion Army Reserve to an upcoming military ball.

According to KPHO in Arizona, the Sun Devil Battalion Army Reserve Officer Training Corps has extended an invitation to the New York Jets quarterback to attend the annual military ball on April 20 and also to be the guest speaker. The group is made up of ROTC cadets from both Arizona State and Grand Canyon University and the group felt that he would be a great candidate to speak and attend.

The group wrote a letter: "When considering a guest speaker for such an event, there are certain attributes that we look for: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. It was, without hesitation, decided that you exemplify all of these Army values, which is why we would be honored to host you as the keynote speaker for our event," the letter to Tebow said.

Tebow has been the subject of trade talks all offseason as the New York Jets have tried to deal him, but so far no teams have bitten on a deal. Last year the team barely used him and he gained just 102 yards rushing with 39 yards in the air with zero touchdowns. Tebow was rumored to be going out to the desert n Arizona, but now that appears changed as the team chases Carson Palmer from the Raiders.

The Oakland Raiders just acquired Matt Flynn, taking another option away from Tebow, while the Buffalo Bills signed Kevin Kolb. The Raiders got Flynn for draft picks and the Seahawks now have an opening that could possibly be a fit for Tebow if Peter Carroll wants to take a chance.

Tebow is behind Mark Sanchez on the depth chart for the Jets but chances are he won't be with the team come next year, as they could just release him, although they would like to get a draft pick back in return.
