Apr 04, 2013 01:23 PM EDT

The Oklahoma City Thunder meet the San Antonio Spurs Thursday night as the teams hook up for an important game that could affect the standings. Check out the schedule and time of this game so you won't miss the live action.

Time: 9:30 p.m. ET

Where to Watch: TNT

This came can either create problems for the Spurs or comfort their lead in the Western Conference as the regular season is soon to wrap up giving way to the 2013 NBA Playoffs. So what is at stake tonight as these powerhouses meet?

The Spurs at 56-19 in the season. The Thunder are 54-20. That right there is a 1.5 game difference as the Spurs are currently the No. 1 team in the West and second in the NBA behind only the Miami Heat. However, now the Thunder are making a run at a chance to take over No. 1 in the West. With a win, OKC can trim the lead to just half a game. The Spurs would love to win and expand their lead to 2.5 games.

So far, in the 2013 season, the Spurs have won two of the first three meetings. The Thunder won the December matchup 107-93, but the Spurs won the first game of the season in a close 86-84 result, while then winning the most recent meeting in March 105-93.

In reality, regardless of where they end up, chances are it won't affect their performance in the playoffs until the two possibly meet up in the Western Conference Finals. The winner of the first spot will face either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Utah Jazz, while the winner of the second spot will face the Houston Rockets or the Golden State Warriors.

Tipoff is a little after 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT. Don't miss the game as it'll definitely headline tomorrow's basketball news.
