Sometimes it can be very hard for children to follow in the footsteps of their parents, especially when your father is NFL legend Joe Montana.
However, according to an NFL.com report, Nate Montana is trying to walk in the footsteps of his famous father, being a part of the NFL Super Regional Combine this week at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
Unfortunately for Nate, some analyst are considering him to be a "long shot" who has a "weak throwing arm."
"It's going to be hard for him to transition to the next level," NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks said. "His passes don't have zip. He has difficulty making pro throws,
"He's a great kid, his measurables are fine, but in terms of playing at the next level, his performance here was not very good."
Nate, 23, was a quarterback at De La Salle before becoming a walk-on at Notre Dame in 2008 only to leave for Pasadena City College in 2009. He re-enrolled at Notre Dame the next year, only to play three games with the Irish, racking up 116 yards and an interception.
He then transferred to the University of Montana in 2011 to get more playing time but ended up serving as backup yet again.
However, last year he transferred once again, this time to West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2012. He passed for 2,480 yards and 19 touchdowns in nine games.
