Olympic gold medalist Alexandria "Aly" Raisman can add experienced dancer to her extensive resume as she danced her way to the top of "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday.

After scoring 27 points, Raisman and her partner Mark Ballas took the top spot over early favorites Kellie Pickler and Zendaya Coleman, Fox News reported.

The Olympian and her partner performed a contemporary dance to David Guetta's "Titanium", in which Raisman was able to use her gymnast skills, incorporating cartwheels and back-flips to the routine.

Judge Bruno Tonioli seemed especially impressed by Raisman's performance.

"Forget about titanium, you are going for gold," he told her during the show.

Raisman told TV Guide that during her routine, she particularly wanted to win over judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

"I want to impress Carrie Ann [Inaba]," Raisman said in an interview before the show. "She said I held back the first week and that I went out of character last week, so I don't want her to think that again this week."

Well it seems she accomplished her goal, as Inaba had nothing but the highest of praises for the young star.

"I'm very proud of you," judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the 18-year-old Raisman. "Perfection of movement is all you know, but contemporary dance is about perfection of emotion. This dance had perfect movement and perfect emotional connection. It was profound."
