The Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers face off at 1:08 p.m. ET and we have the live stream link to watch the game online. The Tigers and Blue Jays have split the first game of the season, now, today's winner takes the series in what has turned into a high scoring affair.
The Blue Jays came back to win Wednesday's game 8-6 after a sluggish start to the game. The Tigers were up 6-1, but the Jays had no plans on giving up. Following a four-run fifth inning by the Tigers, the Blue Jays answered back with a three spot in the sixth inning and a four spot in the seventh, when they took the lead for good.
Now, on the hill for the Tigers, Doug Fister, will try to give the momentum back to Detroit. They could have easily been playing today for the sweep, but their bullpen couldn't hold it down late in the game. The Blue Jays will send Josh Johnson to the mound where he will look to win the first series for Toronto.
Both pitchers struggled in their first starts of the season. Fister gve up three earned runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts, but he earned the win. Johnson pitched decent baseball against the Boston Red Sox, but was hit with the no decision after going six innings of three-run baseball while walking two and striking out six.
The Blue Jays will look to turn their season around. They are 3-5 and in last place in the A.L. East. As for the Tigers, they are still in the middle of the A.L. Central with a 4-4 record sitting in third place.
