The Toronto Blue Jays play one last game in Comerica Park against the Detroit Tigers. If you can't watch the live stream, check out MLB Gameday as they bring play-by-play, scoring updates, lineups and up to the minute action of this rubber game in Detroit. Here's what we can expect.
The Blue Jays' offense roared back against the Tigers late in the game, scoring seven unanswered runs in the sixth and seventh inning. the Tigers didn't have a response for this onslaught of Blue Jays offense. They will have Josh Johnson on the mound attempting to win his first game as a Blue Jay. Backing him up on offense and on the field will be the following:
1. Reyes SS
2. Melky Cabrera LF
3. Bautista DH
4. Encarnacion 1B
5. Arencibia C
6. Davis RF
7. Rasmus CF
8. DeRosa 3B
9. Izturis 2B
Bautista will be given a mental day off where he can just focus on his hitting as his average has taken a tumble. Bautista is off to a .200 start along with a struggling Encarnacion, which probably explains why the Jays are 3-5 to start 2013. Until these guys pick it up, the Blue Jays batting lineup will look pedestrian.
As for the Tigers, Doug Fister will be going for his second win in 2013. His first wasn't his strongest posting a 5.40 ERA, but he went five innings and earned the win against the Yankees. For Detroit on offense, expect the same guys in the same places on the field and in the batting order.
1. Jackson CF
2. Hunter RF
3. Miguel Cabrera 3B
4. Fielder 1B
5. Martinez DH
6. Dirks LF
7. Peralta SS
8. Avila C
9. Infante
The first five hitters in the lineup are hitting over .300. In fact, Hunter and Cabrera are just a couple of hits from hitting over .400 at the beginning of this young season. Infante is also swinging a hot bat as he's off to a .385 start.
