The Baltimore Orioles visit Fenway Park as they face the Boston Red Sox in the rubber game of this meeting. First pitch is a little after 7:10 p.m. ET and you can catch the live stream in a link at the bottom of the article. Let's look at the matchups.
On the mound for the Red Sox, Alfredo Aceves, who seemed to make headlines throughout the offseason especially in the World Baseball Classic when he was involved in a brawl as the Mexicans played Canada. On the mound for the Orioles will be Chris Tillman, who had a pretty decent 2012 season going 9-3 with a 2.93 ERA in 15 starts. However, 2013 hasn't been friendly to either of these pitchers.
Both of these hurlers have a chance to win, but they also face the possibility of exiting early in the game as both pitchers were knocked around in their first appearances. Tillman went 3.2 innings allowing five runs on seven hits to the Minnesota Twins. He had control issues as he walked four batters. Coming into the game his ERA is sitting on 12.27
Aceves suffered the same fate in his first two appearances in relief. Against the New York Yankees, Aceves pitched only .2 innings allowing two runs as his ERA skyrockets to 27.00. Then he gave up three earned runs in 3.2 innings lowering his ERA to a still whopping 10.38 ERA.
The Orioles have the momentum going into this meeting as they stole one from the Red Sox with Joel Hanrahan on the mound to close it off. Manny Machado provided the heroics with a three-run bomb over the Green Monster giving the O's the late lead and the eventual victory.
