The Detroit Tigers face the Oakland Athletics in their Friday evening baseball match at 10:05 p.m. ET. If you can't watch the game on television, try checking out the MLB.TV streaming action online. Here are the pitching matchups and lineups of this ball game as two of the A.L.'s best teams square off.

The Athletics are hot, red hot, as they're on an eight-game winning streak. After starting the season 0-2, the A's tightened their game up and have won eight consecutive games. The Tigers will look to put an end to this streak tonight and they will send Max Scherzer to the mound. Here's the lineup he'll face tonight.

1. Coco Crisp CF
2. Lowrie SS
3. Reddick RF
4. Cespedes LF
5. Moss 1B
6. Jaso C
7. Smith
8. Donaldson 3B
9. Sogard 2B

Scherzer will need better stuff than his first outing when he went five innings allowing four earned runs for a 7.20 ERA. However, he still received the win against the New York Yankees.

Backing Scherzer up and becoming Bartolo Colon's problem on the mound, the Tigers will send these to the plate. This is the first time these teams lock up since the ALDS where the Athletics gave the Tigers a pretty hard time.

1. Jackson CF
2. Dirks LF
3. Cabrera 3B
4. Fielder 1B
5. Martinez DH
6. Avila C
7. Peralta SS
8. Kelly RF
9. Santiago 2B

Between Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Alex Avila and Jhonny Peralta, you can't tell who's hotter as they've been doing a lot of good hitting recently. The Tigers are coming off a series against the Toronto Blue Jays where they pretty much demolished them scoring a total of  24 runs in three games. As for Oakland, in their last three games they have scored 28 runs.
