Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees Score: Live Updates with Stats, Play-by-Play and Results of A.L. East Matchup

Apr 14, 2013 07:35 PM EDT

The Baltimore Orioles face off the New York Yankees in the final game of their first series of the year. The Orioles and the Yankees are locked in and battling for the second and third spots in the A.L. East. If you can't watch the live streaming game, then at least keep up with the stats of the game with MLB Gameday.

The Orioles have the pitching advantage as Wei Yin Chen takes the mound and has been the far more dominant pitcher in comparison to the Yankees' starter, Hiroki Kuroda. This is what both pitchers have accomplished in their first starts of the season.

Chen has placed his team in winning position both times. In his first start, Chen went 5.2 innings of two earned runs against the Tampa Bay Rays. He got the no-decision. Chen then faced the Boston Red Sox and went 6.1 innings of three-run baseball and he got the lost. You can't ask more from a pitcher who gives you six-plus innings of three-run baseball.

On the other hand, Kuroda already has a win and has pitched poorly. In his first start against the Red Sox, he went just 1.1 innings and allowed two earned runs. He was removed early because he took a line drive off his pointer. In his second start, he gave up three earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched. He earned the victory as the Cleveland Indians were demolished by the Yankees.
