Pat Summerall is considered one of the best announcers and broadcasters of all-time and he passed away on Tuesday, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Summerall was one of the most influential TV sportscasters of all time and worked on CBS, FOX and ESPN and was famous for partnering with John Madden on NFL broadcasts. Summerall was a former football player and played for 10 yards professionally as a kicker and his final game was in the 1961 NFL Championship Game.
Summerall worked many Super Bowls and other big games during his time as a broadcaster, including for 16 different championship games as well as 10 Super Bowl broadcasts on CBS Radio as an analyst. He was one of the most accomplished announcers in all of sports and he was inducted into the American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame in 1999 and also had the Pat Summerall Award named for him.
