Madden 25 Cover Vote Between Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders As NFL Draft Approaches With Winner Announced On April 24

The "Madden" video game cover can be a blessing and a curse, as many players already know, and this time around the vote to make the cover is special, as Hall of Fame players are getting in on the action as the final show down is between former Lions running back Barry Sanders and current Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson.

According to NFL.com, the two players will square off to see who will be on the cover of the next Madden game, having each representing the "old school" and the "new school" of players. Sanders beat out a number of players to make the cut, including Jerry Rice, Ray Lewis and Joe Montana.

Peterson is the perfect foil, as he just had one of the best seasons as a running back of all time, winning the MVP and rushing for over 2,000 yards. Peterson won all his matchups with at least 64 percent of votes while going for the cover against top players. Last year it was Calvin Johnson on the cover  and if Sanders wins it would make it two years in a row.

Sanders later tweeted about the win, writing: "Wow. Just wow.  I can't believe I won, I can't believe I beat @JerryRice THE Jerry Rice. Thanks so the fans. This is all you guys."
