The New York Knicks take on the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of their seven-game series as the NBA Playoffs are taking off. Check out the radio stream of this game as the Celtics and Knicks have the duties of starting off the NBA's postseason.
The regular season favored the Knicks. They finished No. 2 in the Eastern Conference as they finished the 2013 season 54-28, with a 31-10 record at home, the latter not being the greatest news for the Celtics. Boston finished this season 41-40 and 14-27 on the road. They have to go into Madison Square Garden and play some really good basketball if they don't want to head back to Boston down 0-2.
The Celtics are aging while the Knicks are thriving. Powered by Carmelo Anthony's dominant season, the Knicks cruised through at the end of the season and even posted a 13-game winning streak towards the end of the season.
The Celtics were banged up and had to battle without their main guy Rajon Rondo. No matter what they say, Rondo is the face and future of this franchise. As Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett get older and near retirement, the Celtics will need Rondo to remain healthy in his career.
