The Brooklyn Nets face the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs as the respective fourth and fifth seeds face off Saturday night. Join us for the live blog with play-by-play, stats and most importantly, up to the minute scoring updates from Game 1 of this postseason meeting.

The Bulls are hurt and barely got in as the fifth seed, but they have one thing working for them in their psyche, they won the season series 3-1 over the Nets. Two of the three games were decided by a total of four points, but the Bulls won the game because of their defense. So without a doubt, Carlos Boozer, who averaged 16.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, will have to put up bigger numbers if he's to keep his Bulls in this match.

The Bulls are up against a Brooklyn team that has seen the payoff of a big summer. They resigned players and traded for Joe Johnson. Though Johnson has sort of disappeared in the background of Brook Lopez and Deron Williams, he made key shots throughout the season. This big three will try to win the first playoff game in Brooklyn this evening and if you can't watch the game, then that's why we're here.

In their first season in Brooklyn, the Nets took the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. They went 49-33 and won seven of their last 10 games in the season. As for the Bulls, they finished their last 10 games with an even 5-5 record. If they are to survive this Nets team, that's healthier, they will need to play great defense and prevent Williams from doing as he pleases.
