The 2013 NBA Playoffs continue on Monday with two scheduled meetings as both home teams get ready to make it a 2-0, while the road teams attempt to tie the series at one game a piece. Check out game time and where to watch these games as the NBA's postseason rolls on.
First up on deck, it's the Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls. Watch the game on TNT at 8 p.m. ET. The Nets are up 1-0 in the series after running the Bulls out of Brooklyn in the first game. Boozer pretty much did it all in their first meeting. He had the game-high 25 points, he grabbed eight rebounds and had four assists for the Bulls to finish with the team highs. However, no other Bull was able to produce. Joakim Noah's foot has him limping around the court, therefore, the center is simply effective.
For the Nets, everything was working on Saturday in Game 1 of the series. They had six guys in double figures as the Nets cruised to a 106-89 victory as the Barclays Center hosted its first NBA playoff game in its first ever season. Deron Williams had 22 points, Brook Lopez had 21 while the Nets got 28 solid points from their bench.
The Bulls seem a little too injured to pose a legit threat to the Nets. It would take a miracle for them to win a game, let alone win the series.
The second game of the evening features the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers. Game time is at 10:30 p.m. ET and you can also watch this game with Charles Barkley and the crew on TNT.
In Game 1, it was all Clippers as they finished the Grizzlies off 112-91. This game was close and went back and forth, but in the fourth quarter, the Clippers went nuts. The game was 75-69 at the end of the three quarters, but the Clippers handled business in the final 12 minutes running away with the victory and taking the 1-0 lead in the series.
The Clippers were so dominant that they had seven guys finish in double-figures. Chris Paul had 23 points on an efficient 7-11 shooting from the floor. Eric Bledsoe added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists off the bench to help the Clippers when ever Paul was on the bench.
The Grizzlies were stagnant in the fourth quarter and simply couldn't score. Jerryd Baylor led them in scoring as he dropped 19 points off the bench. Marc Gasol, as always great with his passing, finished with seven assists and came second in the night scoring 16 points. He only had two rebounds, which might explain why the Clippers dominated the battle of the boards out-rebounding the Grizzlies 47-23 with 14 offensive rebounds.
Don't miss these games as both home teams try to put this series on ice.
