NBA Playoff Results: Final Scores have Thunder, Pacers and Spurs Up 2-0 as Predicted

Apr 25, 2013 02:43 AM EDT

The NBA Playoffs saw more results for Game 2's in the first round of the postseason as the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs won their games Wednesday night. Check out what the scoreboard read at the end of regulation and who guided their team to victory in the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs.

The Thunder had the duty of putting away the Houston Rockets on Wednesday after surviving their attack throughout Game 2. The Rockets were close, but they weren't as durable as OKC as the score finished 105-102 in favor of the home team, OKC. Thunder's late surge in the fourth quarter that was enough to put the Rockets in an 0-2 ditch as the Thunder head to Houston with the two-game advantage.

Kevin Durant scored 29 and was outscored by the Rockets' James Harden who scored 36 points, but in the end, the Rockets' lack of consistent scoring came back to haunt them with just minutes left in the game.

The Pacers followed suit with their victory over the Atlanta Hawks, but this one wasn't even close. The Pacers simply attacked, attacked and attacked all night long. For every punch thrown by the Hawks, the Pacers answered back with an heavy uppercut. This was seen especially at the conclusion of the third quarter when with just one second left in the period, the Pacers found a way to heave the ball cross court and score as time ran out.

Paul George again had a memorable game as he dropped 27 points to lead the Pacers and finishing the game as the highest scorer. The bench played a vital role as they outscored the Hawks' reserves 38-27.

For the Spurs, it was another victory to add to their resumes. The Los Angeles Lakers are simply too old, but more importantly, too injured to compete seriously in the playoffs. Many thought the Lakers had a remote chance of turning this into a competition even without Kobe Bryant. However, the Spurs have proved, with their 2-0 advantage, that the Lakers are going to be an easy to dispose in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Manu Ginobili had a regular day scoring 13 points off the bench, but the Lakers had a handful keeping up with the starts as Parker scored 28 points in Game 2. He finished with the game-high leading his Spurs to victory. The Lakers shot well from the floor at 45 percent, but they allowed the Spurs to connect 51 percent of their shots, which led to their demise.
