Mumbai Indians will be bracing themselves for another blitzkrieg from Chris Gayle when they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL 2013 game at the Wankhede Stadium Saturday.
RCB are sitting pretty at the top of the table with six wins in eight, while Mumbai Indians are slowly but surely finding their way, having picked up their fourth win in seven games at the Eden Gardens against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
All eyes will be on one man when the two sides walk out following Gayle's unbelievable 175 not out against the Pune Warriors in their previous game.
Tillakaratne Dilshan had the best view of that innings, with the RCB opener watching his teammate make mincemeat of the Pune bowlers from the other end.
"I batted with him in the last IPL too and he scored a couple of hundreds," Dilshan told IPL's official website. "But this was something special. In my career this was the first time I saw someone hit the ball so cleanly. I was just standing at the other end and enjoying every bit of it.
"In the fifth and the seventh over when he hit the medium pacer (Mitchell Marsh) and left-arm spinner (Ali Murtaza), I knew he could easily clear this boundary for many times. After that I just decided to take singles and give him the strike.
"We just enjoy batting together in the middle. I, especially, enjoy batting with him a lot. I took over the hitting in the last match but (against Pune Warriors) he was completely in charge, and that is mostly the case."
Dilshan believes RCB have the most dangerous batting lineup in the IPL, and it is up to them to take the side all the way to the final.
"I was talking to some of my fellow Sri Lankan cricketers and they were amazed at how four of the most dangerous batsmen in the world -- Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB (De Villiers) and myself -- are in the same team. With that kind of a lineup we can go a long way in the tournament."
