Two teams that have as good as been relegated from the English Premier League will lock horns, with Reading hosting QPR at the Madejski Stadium Sunday.

QPR and Reading are right at the bottom on 24 points each from 34 games, ten points adrift of safety, and it is only a matter of time before the two sides are mathematically relegated. If Aston Villa beat Sunderland in their Premier League clash Monday, both QPR and Reading will be playing in the Championship next season.

QPR manager Redknapp said he is confident his side can bounce straight back from the Championship next season. "It's a big challenge but this is a good club," he added. "It will be very hard to come straight back but that's the aim. We've got the summer so there'll be no excuses. We've got to get the right players to go with the ones we've got.

"The silly thing about this game is that quite often the ones you want to keep are the ones who want to go and the ones you'd like to let go don't want to go. At the end of the day they've all got contracts, so I'm sure we'll keep the ones we want to keep and we'll see how we go with the others."

"They're not going to roll over and die," Redknapp added about of the owners. "They're determined people and they want to come back again next year. They've had a blip this year but hopefully we can put it right next year. Next year could be a great year."

QPR will be without Andros Townsend, who is out with a hamstring injury, while Adel Taarabt faces a late fitness test for a shoulder problem. Bobby Zamora completes the last of his three-match suspension, with Shaun Wright-Phillips and Andrew Johnson long-term absentees.

Reading will be without Adam Federici, Hope Akpan, Jimmy Kebe and Jason Roberts, although, Hal Robson-Kanu has returned to training and could feature against QPR.
