The Knicks are a game away from winning their first playoff series in over a decade. They are dominating the Celtics, as expected, and are fresh off a Game 3 routing that saw them win 90-76. The Celtics are need to win Game 4 if they want to stay alive and their chances just got better after incidents that took place Friday evening.
That's a reference to the elbow J.R. Smith threw that knocked Jason Terry on his back and led to a Flagrant 2 call. Smith was ejected from the game and now he will not be available off the bench for the Knicks. The Sixth Man of the Year will not be able to help his team advance to the second round if the Knicks clinch in Sunday's game.
The Celtics haven't been able to match Carmelo Anthony's efforts through the first three games of the series, he has almost 100 points scored so far in this series. Jeff Green scored 21 points for the Celtics, but that wasn't enough for Boston as once again the Celtics wasted an effort from Green. He had 28 points in Game 1, which they lost.
The trend was the Knicks roared back from a first half deficit. However, by halftime it was evident that the Knicks were in control as they took a double-digit lead into the third quarter.
