Hulk Hogan dealt with the media flak when his sex tape was released and now the wrestling star has got into it in court and a legal battle with Gawker.com for posting the video and linking to another site that also posted it.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hogan has been in court trying to fight the battle and last week he was granted a temporary restraining order by a Florida judge, who ruled that the website needed to take down the video as well as excerpts, clips, photos and transcripts, but instead they just took down the video, citing the First Amendment.
The post was written by former editor A.J. Daulerio and Gawker came out on their website and hit hard back at the judge for violating the first amendment and they refused to take it down. Gawker appealed the ruling and the Florida appeals court issued an emergency stay of the temporary injunction and it will pick up later on with a ruling.
Hogan has continued following that appeal, wanting punishment for Gawker for defying the judges order. He says that "civil contempt for openly disobeying Judge Pamela Campbell's instruction "to remove the written narrative describing the private sexual encounter."
