Tebow Omaha Beef and Lingerie Football Offers Better Than Position Switch For Quarterback? Tim Tebow May Have To Play Tight End or Running Back For NFL Future

Tim Tebow has already been thoroughly embarrassed by the New York Jets after the way they treated him this season and now he has to deal with embarrassing offers from an Omaha indoor football team and other leagues like Lingerie Football and the CFL.

Tebow's NFL future is very up in the air right now and one thing that could help him as he moves forward is a willingness to play another position. According to CBSSports.com, some teams were contacting the Jets towards the end of the run with Tebow about possibly trading for him, but the main caveat was that they wanted him as a tight end and not a quarterback. So far in his young career Tebow has been unwilling to make the change, but that is exactly what he may need to do to keep his NFL future alive.

Some teams seem like potential fits for the quarterback, but the Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins may be unwilling to take what Tebow brings. The quarterback was offered $75 per game to play for the Omaha Beef after the GM of the team put it out there, but it is just another random offer that really doesn't mean anything. The team has a quarterback already with James McNear, who has led the team to a 5-1 record with 21 touchdowns, although Tebow could probably kill it in an indoor league. McNear said, "I think Tim can learn a lot from me."

Tebow could also be an asset as a backup quarterback if teams use him the way the Jets intended when they traded for him. They asked him to bulk up, which may have cost him some speed and explosiveness and now that he has worked out and lost weight, he will be more of an asset. He rushed for just 102 yards and passed for 39 last season and if given another chance he could prove he belongs, but it may come as a tight end or running back.
