Oakland Raiders Rumors: Tim Tebow and Vince Young Out After Tyler Wilson Draft Pick As Montreal Alouettes Hold Rights For Both Quarterbacks In CFL

Oakland Raiders had one of the most interesting offseasons of any NFL team and after adding a solid amount of veterans in free agency and some intriguing selectiosn in the draft, the AFC West could see improvement from the silver and black, although they won't challenge the Broncos just yet.

The team's selection of Tyler Wilson in the fourth round of the NFL draft was a telling one and due to that, the Raiders are no longer interested in quarterback Vince Young, who impressed the team with a workout earlier in the year. According to NFL.com, the team liked what it saw in Young, but after drafting Wilson, the Raiders are no longer interested in bringing in young as well as Tim Tebow, who was rumored to be a possibility out West.

The Raiders traded for Matt Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks and already had Terrelle Pryor when Wilson was drafted, leaving the quarterback position already crowded. Young has been trying to get back into the NFL and after workouts with the Raiders and pro day workouts at the University of Texas, he showed much improvement from the last time he was in the league.

Both Tebow and Young may have a hard time finding work in the NFL, as teams have started finalizing their rosters for training camp and offseason workouts and many have signed undrafted free agents, keeping them even farther out of the loop. Both Young and Tebow have other options though, as the Montreal Alouettes hold the rights to both players and despite the fact that the team has 40-year-old quarterback Anthony Calvillo, who is the all-time passing leader in the CFL, he will be retiring soon an perhaps one of them could step up.

That has been one move many predicted for Tebow, as he has so far been unable to find another team that wants him after the New York Jets cut him. He rushed for 102 yards and threw for 39 last season while being grossly underused by the Jets and even though there are good fits like the New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns, it remains to be seen if anyone will sign him.
