Can't watch the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics? Can't watch it online? Then follow the live updates with scores and stats with play-by-play of this pivotal Game 6. Will the Celtics push it to Game 7? Can the Knicks step up and finally finish what they started almost two weeks ago?
The Celtics are on a roll and watching Doc Rivers speak in his makes anybody want to stand up from their couch and better themselves in life. The Celtics have battled despite missing their best player, Rajon Rondo and trailing the series 0-3. In Game 5, the Celtics even found themselves trailing by 11 points in the opening minutes in the first quarter. It took them 4:13 to get their first points in Game 5, but they simply chipped away.
The held the Knicks to about 40 percent shooting from the floor or did the Knicks shoot themselves out of a second round berth? They missed open shots all night long. Their top scorers, Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith combined to shoot 11-38. Only in baseball would that be labeled as a successful game, however, in basketball it equates with mediocrity, especially when the Knicks depend so heavily on their offensive production.
Smith and Anthony have done enough in this series. It's time for guys like Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler to take over games and step up when the team needs them. Jeff Green of the Celtics has completely dominated the Knicks in this series, helping Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce carry the load.
Will the La La issues bother Anthony in this game or will his mind be clear enough to hit shots? Will the Celtics step up and force a Game 7 to emulate the Red Sox vs. Yankees ALCS of 2004?
