The NBA Playoff brackets are pretty much set following four team's advancement into the second round of the postseason. Let's not get into any details, this is what the bracket looks like entering Saturday as the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets are the only two teams remaining to advance into the second round.
SECOND ROUND MATCHUPS:
Miami Heat
vs.
Bulls/Nets
New York Knicks
vs.
Indiana Pacers
WESTERN CONFERENCE
Oklahoma City Thunder
vs.
Memphis Grizzlies
San Antonio Spurs
vs.
Golden State Warriors
There might be some surprises in this round. Some believe the Warriors and Grizzlies have a chance in the West. There is a cast of doubt over the Thunder following Russell Westbrook's injury. They barely beat the Houston Rockets and had to make a comeback in order to complete the victory. Kevin Martin also had a big game scoring 25 points off the bench in Game 6.
The Grizzlies proved that at home they are a force and had their defense buckled down in the fourth quarter of Game 2, maybe this series would have ended in five games. They put away the Los Angeles Clippers in six, winning four consecutive games, but they beat them decisively with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph becoming the focus on offense.
In the East, the Knicks and Pacers are the No. 2 and 3 seeds, which should provide a good matchup. The defending champion Heat are still awaiting an opponent as the Nets and Bulls slug it out in Game 7 at the Barclays Center at 8 p.m. ET, Saturday evening.
