Tyrann Mathieu has done a good job over the draft and the past few weeks downplaying his drug past and his failed drug tests for marijuana use, but one area head shop in Phoenix has obliterated that, welcoming the cornerback to the Cardinals with an ad that references those exact problems.
According to NESN.com, the store Bud's Glass Joint, a head and weed smoking paraphernalia shop, took out an ad in the Phoenix New Times that welcomes the player to Arizona and says: "We have what you're looking for." Mathieu dealt with drug issues while at LSU and that has also been a sticking point between the team and his contract after being drafted. The ad calls him the Honey Badger and the shop surely used it to drum up some publicity, which worked.
The Cardinals took a chance on Mathieu and his former LSU teammate Patrick Peterson has vouched for him with the franchise and said that he would take him under his wing. The ad says "Honey Badger, Welcome to Phoenix," atop the "we have what you're looking for" quote.
