The San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors will meet up in Texas for the first game of their second round Playoff series on Monday. The Spurs swept the Lakers in the opening round while the Warriors defeated the Nuggets in a chippy series to get here. Earlier in the month, the Warriors defeated the Spurs after Stephen Curry sunk seven 3-pointers. He hopes to do much of the same this time around.

Curry has controlled much of the games with his shooting abilities. Despite his small frame, he is still able to throw off defenders. He has had multiple high-scoring games this season, including 54 points against the New York Knicks in February and 47 points against the Lakers in April. In total, he made 272 3-point shots in the regular season, just over Ray Allen's record in 2005. He is averaging 24.5 points in the postseason. Curry is coming off of an ankle sprain that offered in Game 2 against the Nuggets. He has had anti-inflammatory injections prior to each game since.

Curry is not the only one producing for the Warriors. Both Jarrett Jack and Klay Thompson shoot 40 percent from the 3-point line. Andrew Bogut also had 14 points and 21 rebounds in the team's Game 6 win against the Nuggets.

The Spurs have been hampered with injuries to their biggest stars for much of the season and have relied on other players to get them to finishing second in the West. They captured the franchise's 19th division title prior to the postseason.

Kawhi Leonard has turned into a marquee player for San Antonio after shooting 49 percent from the field during the regular season. He averaged 12.3 points per game during the first-round sweep of the Lakers.

The Warriors are averaging 107.2 points per game compared to the Spurs 85.3 points per game, but Golden State has lost 29 consecutive games in San Antonio. They have not one there since Feb. 14 of 1997. They hope to break that streak on Monday.
