Wigan will be desperate for all three points against Swansea when the two sides lock horns in their English Premier League game Tuesday.
The Latics are precariously placed in the bottom three, with three points separating them from Newcastle, Norwich and Sunderland.
However, Wigan do have a game in hand, the one which will be played Tuesday at the DW Stadium, and after picking up a thrilling 3-2 win over West Brom at the weekend, Roberto Martinez will be desperate to see his side continue the winning run.
"We've got two incredible home games to look forward to still this season, against Swansea and Aston Villa as well as a glamorous away trip to The Emirates (against Arsenal)," Martinez said.
"There are nine points still available for us and that's our main focus right now, but it's certainly pleasing to see a real continuity in our performances. The last four games have seen displays of the highest order and that's when you need to take three points.
"We're not viewing the game simply as a chance to move out of the bottom three. Each week the table has its twists and turns, so for me the only thing to focus on is the opportunity to add more points to our tally.
"When 19 May comes around that's when we'll focus on the table with a points tally that will help us achieve our aims."
Martinez will have to ask his side to concentrate on just the game against Swansea, with the F.A. Cup final against Manchester City only few days away.
"The approach will not be different," he added. "We'll spend as much time focussing on the opposition as we have done in recent games, but be more concerned with our performance.
"Our last three home games have produced really strong displays, winning performances and that's what we need to continue in the final two games at the DW Stadium."
Wigan will be without Jean Beausejour, Antolin Alcaraz and Maynor Figueroa, who is ruled out for the rest of the season.
Swansea, who are comfortably placed in ninth, will miss the services of top scorer Michu for the rest of the season, after the forward was ruled out with a hamstring injury, picked up in the 0-0 draw with Manchester City at the weekend.
