If the Jacksonville Jaguars' fans have it their way, Tim Tebow would be playing for them next season. There has been a lot of speculation as to where the former Jets quarterback will land as multiple teams have said they are not interested. Tebow had his playing years in Florida as the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators. Could a stint playing in his favorite state be what he needs to get his professional career going? Well Jaguars fans think. A petition has been created and ad space has been purchased, all in support of Tebow becoming a Jaguar.

Jaguars fans are pulling out all the stops to get Tebow to Florida. Fans filed a White House petition asking President Obama to call general manager Dave Caldwell and "tell him to stop ignoring the Jaguars fans and sign Tim Tebow." Caldwell was shocked to hear his name was involved in a petition, but does not believe he will be hearing from the president anytime soon.

Caldwell has been vocal about the team not signing Tebow. He is happy with the current four quarterbacks on the team roster, believing they have real talent in Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne. Even prior to Tebow being released, Caldwell said he could not imagine a scenario in which they signed the somewhat controversial quarterback.

These words are not stopping fans from continuing to press the issue. An Orlando-based lawyer has developing an ad campaign aimed at Jaguars owner Shahid Khan to sign Tebow. The ad comments that Jacksonville was 27-42 in the last five years with one of the worst records in NFL history.

"Tebow is one of us. He has class, character, and he's a winner. Let's win, Mr. Khan. Once upon a time, so-called experts probably doubted your potential, and now look at you."

The Jaguars have struggled to fill seats in the past and many think Tebow coming to Florida would fill the stadium. As of now, it looks like the team is set moving forward with the current players they have. If Tebow were to agree to switch positions to an h-back or tight end he might have a better shot at joining the team. However, he has been reluctant to do so and instead remains in the hunt for someone to call his number.
