The Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat played a very close game, well, physical. The Heat attacked the scoring, while the Bulls were all over the Heat and the referees, which caused a parade of technical fouls followed by ejections.
It was Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson with fourth quarter ejections as they simply could no longer tolerate the way the officials were calling the game.
If there's anything funny about this, it was that Noah's final technical foul came from the bench. He was upset with a non-call after officials let an obvious goal-tend call slide. It seemed like the refs wanted to get out of there while Noah couldn't stand sitting on the bench and wanted to hit the shower early. Noah was immediately thrown out and handed his second tech of the game.
Gibson suffered greatly from the parade of techs as he was knocked with two back-to-back. He felt he had been fouled aside from the goal tend as Chris Andersen was awarded with the block. As soon as Noah was kicked out, Gibson didn't hesitate to complain and give the refs an earful.
Ray Allen was about to go to the line to complete an And-1 play, but instead it became an And-4 as the Heat guard sunk all three technical foul shots, plus the original foul shot that landed him on the line in the first place.
All in all, there were nine technical fouls handed out and a flagrant in Game 2. The Heat rocked the Bulls as they handed them their biggest playoff defeat, 115-78. It was also the Heat's biggest win in their franchise's playoff history.
