Dwyane Wade's jacket would have made Russell Westbrook proud. While watching his press conference last night after a 115-78 thumping of the Chicago Bulls in Game 2 of their second round matchup, it was hard to listen to Wade since his jacket was absorbing all the attention.
Not that Charles Barkley is the best dresser in the world, but you can immediately tell when he appreciates or dislikes a ballers' outfit. As soon as LeBron James spoke and the cameras worked their way onto D-Wade, Barkley sounded like he was disgusted, a reaction he's seen over and over again for OKlahoma City Thunder's Westbrook.
Unfortunately, for the Thunder and NBA fashionistas, Westbrook is out, but Wade followed in his footsteps.
Now this is really borderline hideous. Either Kenny Smith or Shaquille O'Neal tried defending Wade saying his t-shirt matched the jacket, which is great, but what did he wear to match on his feet? Even this Twitter account, @CJZero pokes fun at Wade's jacket referring to it as "Grandma's Couch."
Here's a thought, maybe Wade wore this jacket to create a distraction after missing a wide open dunk earlier in the game. It looked as if Wade didn't have enough ups and it was either a case of Heat laziness or an injury Wade was trying to play through. He didn't miss a dunk following the first one he bombed and finished the game with 15 points on 7-11 shooting.
Wait, is his outfit reflective of the season? Where have we recently seen floral patterns on a person? Oh, wait:
Okay, so if Kanye West allowed Kim Kardashian to wear this, then maybe the whole floral thing is fashionable, although, Kim Kardashian looks like she wrapped herself in a neighbor's table cover.
The Heat and Bulls will continue their series on Friday for Game 3 from the United Center in Chicago. The series is tied 1-1 and as we'll bring you the score and results, we'll also keep an eye on Mr. Wade and his attire. At least LeBron James decided to wear regular attire.
