Tiger Woods is in Florida for the Players Championship starting on Thursday, but the early part of his week was spent in New York City with some high profile celebrities, as Woods and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn were at the Met Gala on Monday night.
According to Us Weekly, the golfer may have had a bit more fun than Vonn would have liked, as sources said that Woods got drunk at an after party and at one point fell down and needed to be helped up. Reports also said that he needed to be helped to the car and photos from the event show Woods looking wide eyed and drunk while partying it up with model Tyson Beckford. The event is one of the biggest fashion nights of the year and Woods was supporting his girlfriend.
Reports said that Woods grabbed Vonn's butt at one point and around 2 am he slipped on some stairs while walking down. While Vonn was embarrassed, Woods took it all in stride and was at TPC Sawgrass preparing to tee off at around 2 pm on Thursday. It is the first time that Woods is in action since playing at the Masters, which Vonn followed him to and cheered him on.
Woods had some controversy at Augusta, as a TV viewer called in an infraction on him and he was eventually penalized two strokes. Woods looked strong and may have had a chance to win, but the shot derailed him and he ended up finishing tied for fourth place. Woods is playing on Thursday in the tournament with Brandt Sndeker and Matt Kuchar, who is the defending champion.
