Tim Tebow Rumors: Carolina Panthers Backup For Cam Newton An Option? Seattle Seahawks and 49ers Fit As Quarterback Talks At Event About Broncos, Steelers and Christianity

Tim Tebow is a free agent and due to the media frenzy he can't find himself a new NFL team, leaving him to weigh other offers while waiting for the right situation and to kill that time the quarterback has continued his lucrative speaking career, giving a talk at the Economic Club of Southwest Michigan.

According to Pro Football Talk, Tebow spoke at the Economic Club of Southwest Michigan on Thursday night as part of their annual speaker series and he was booked for it last year while still with the New York Jets. Tebow gave no hints about his future and gave an hour long lecture before ducking from media questions after the event. Tebow gave the keynote address at the event in Benton Harbor for 3,000 people and the 25-year-old said that he did not know yet what the future holds for him.

Tebow spoke about his Christian faith at the event and wore a dark suit with a purple tie and also poke about his high school and college careers as well as his family and his religious beliefs. He also touched on his time with the Denver Broncos and his playoff win against the Steelers. He added nothing about the Jets, although he could have said that the team treated him unfairly and never gave him a shot to play or prove himself.

Tebow was listed by Forbes as the most influential athlete in America and he said that he felt it was a huge honor. The Jets went just 6-10 last season and barely used Tebow, making him a special teams player more than anything and basically lying to the media (the Jets) about how they actually wanted to use him during the year.

Tebow has a number of options, including teams like the Panthers, Seahawks or 49ers, according to Michael Silver at Yahoo, but until the media sensationalism dies down, he won't be able to get a job.

"I don't know what the future holds, but at the end of the day I know who holds my future," he said.

"What I want to do with my life is impact lives. When a kid in a hospital is fighting for his life and I'm trying to win a football game, what really matters? This game isn't as important as a lot of us make it out to be. If I can give him a little bit of hope, I can do something that matters. That's what I want my legacy to be about. That's how I want to be remembered."
