The Chicago Bulls will have the difficult task of taking on the Miami Heat once again without the assistance of guard Kirk Hinrich and forward Luol Deng for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
According to ESPN, coach Tom Thibodeau said Hinrich, who has been out with a left calf injury since Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Brooklyn Nets, has shown some signs of improvement, but ultimately not enough for him to compete.
"He's doing a little bit more," Thibodeau said Monday. "We'll see. He's on the bike, doing a little bit of shooting."
Meanwhile, Deng, who's still recovering from complications from a spinal tap, admitted Sunday after a team practice that he has been trying to get some workouts done with his teammates over the past couple days but has been vomiting after just a few minutes into each one.
"He's still not feeling well," Thibodeau said. "So we'll see tonight, but most likely out."
As if being down 2-1 without some key players wasn't enough for the Bulls, according to new reports, guard Derrick Rose, the former MVP who once considered returning during the playoff series against the Miami, is now singing a different tune.
Despite previous rumors that suggested Rose would suit up for Game 3, according to those with knowledge of the former MVP's way of thinking, Rose won't return to the court anytime soon, something coach Tom Thibodeau is fully aware of.
